Products
- Haidryer
- Denham brush
- Paddle brush
- Straightners
- Tail comb
- Shine serum
Method
- Start off again at the bottom of the head and section off a small section.
- Use the hairdryer with a nozzle to control the heat and a Denham brush to get right to the root of the hair.
- Slightly wet the hair. Blow-dry the hair straight down making sure the nozzle stays in contact with the hair at all times.
- Make sure each section is fully dry before moving onto the next. Repeat this process to whole head. When you start moving up the hair, use the paddle brush to dry as it gives a better finish.
- Once it is all dry, you can go over it with the straighteners to clamp all the hair together to prevent fly aways.
- Section the hair into a slight side parting. Using the tail comb, slightly backcomb the front to give a bit of lift.
- Use your fingers to run through the hair, this will give a more relaxed day time look.
- Lastly, I added some shine serum into my finger tips and ran it through the hair. This helped give it a finished overall look.

Volume up do
Products
- Back combing brush
- Hair pins
- Bun Pins
- Tail comb
- Hairspray
Method
- Firstly brush the hair out throughly to get rid of any knots. Then using the tail comb section off a large bit of hair at the front of the head.
- With the other section at the back, brush it to one side and use some pins in a criss cross style down the middle of the hair.
- As all the hair is on one side, back comb it slightly to give some volume. This will also help the hair curl round nicely to create the french pleat.
- Roll this section around your hands and secure into place with pins that will slid into the criss cross.
- Next you need to back comb the top section to give it some volume. Do this in small sections using the backcombing brush and be sure to start at the root so it's easy to brush out.
- Once the section is backcombed, arrange it nicely over the french pleat. I twisted mine into a pretty swirl and pinned it into place.
- Lastly, finish with the comb and some hairspray to tame the fly away hairs at the front.

11 Strand Plait
Method
- Start off with the 5 strand plait -
- Section five pieces of hair ready to begin the plait.
- The most important thing is to make sure one hand always has three strands in and one hand always has two. They will alternate because you will be plaiting across.
- Start with three strands in your right hand, take the furthest one and use the method, over, under, stop.
- You will now have three pieces of hair in your left hand. Repeat the process again.
- Use a hair band to secure the plait into place
Next you need to do a 3 strand plait to the right of the 5 strand plait. However before bringing the left section into the 3 strand plait, loop it through the top hole in the 5 strand plait. Each time you plait, make sure the section nearest the 5 strand goes through a hole, this will join the plait together.
Then do this to the other side of the 5 strand plait and there is the 11 strand.
Weave Plait
Method
This is similar to the 5 strand plait but you just add more hair each time.
- Start off with the 5 strands and plait across twice.
- On the 3rd time add a 6th piece of hair in using the same method, under, over stop. However, as there is an extra piece of hair there will be more unders and overs.
- Keep going with the plait adding more hair from alternate sides each time.
- Finish off the plait by weaving the hair in your hands instead of adding more hair, tie off with a hair band.
